T.H. Seeds is one of the oldest commercial cannabis seed banks in the world, founded in Amsterdam in 1993. The seedbank predates the modern California craft scene and helped build the Dutch coffeeshop genetic library that became the global reference for commercial cannabis cultivars in the 1990s and 2000s.
For over 30 years, the company has followed one philosophy: "To Protect Genetics and Serve Mankind." T.H. Seeds maintains a deep archive of heritage lines, including classic cultivars such as Original Bubblegum, S.A.G.E., and MK-Ultra. The company has won multiple awards across three decades of breeding.
T.H. Seeds continues releasing both classic reissues and new selections. Their position in the genetic timeline is the Dutch heritage line that runs parallel to the Californian one; together, those two lineages cover most of the contemporary commercial cannabis genome.
T.H. Seeds contributes heritage Dutch cultivar lines to the Martian Grow genetics panel, representing the European side of the genetic timeline that complements the Californian heritage and contemporary craft lines.
The Dutch heritage lineage matters for the science because it is genetically distinct from the Californian one: different selection pressures (indoor coffeeshop market vs. outdoor Emerald Triangle terroir), different breeding goals, and different environmental histories. Including both lineages in the flight panel gives Martian Grow the genetic diversity needed to draw conclusions about how cosmic radiation affects cannabis as a species, not just one region's cultivars.
